Privacy Policy

Welcome to EraseMate. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how EraseMate handles information when you use our mobile application.

EraseMate itself does not collect, store, or share:

• Photos, images, or any media files from your device
• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar information

Advertising partners may collect device and usage data to serve and measure ads — see Advertising below.

EraseMate uses on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation) to remove backgrounds from images. All processing happens locally on your device:

• Images you select are processed entirely on your device's CPU/GPU
• Processed images are saved to your local device storage or gallery only
• No image data leaves your device at any point
• Background removal works without an internet connection
• An internet connection is required to load and display advertisements

EraseMate is free to use and supported by advertisements. When you use the app, we and our advertising partners may show ads in various formats, including banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, and app-open ads.

Our advertising partners include:

• Google AdMob – serves ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK
• Unity Ads – serves video and display ads through the Unity Ads SDK

These partners may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising ID (GAID on Android / IDFA on iOS), IP address, device type, operating system version, and ad interaction data (e.g. impressions and clicks). This data is used to deliver, personalize (where permitted), and measure the performance of ads.

We also use Firebase Firestore to fetch remote ad configuration (such as which ad formats to show). This request does not include your photos or personal information.

You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Allow Apps to Request to Track

EraseMate may request the following device permissions, used solely within the app:

• Photo Library / Storage – to let you select images for editing and save results to your gallery.

These permissions are only used for the stated purposes and are never used to collect or transmit data.

EraseMate uses the following third-party libraries and services:

• Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation – on-device AI subject segmentation (no data sent off-device)
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) – advertisement delivery and measurement
• Unity Ads – advertisement delivery and measurement
• Firebase / Firestore – remote ad configuration only
• image_picker – for selecting images from your device
• share_plus – to share processed images via OS share sheet
• path_provider – to access local file system paths
• permission_handler – to request necessary device permissions
• Google Fonts – fonts loaded locally from the app bundle

EraseMate does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app does not require account creation or any form of personal data submission, making it safe for general audiences.

Your photos and edited images never leave your device. Image processing is fully on-device, and the security of your local files is governed by your device's operating system protections (iOS App Sandbox / Android App Sandboxing).

Data collected by advertising partners is handled according to their respective privacy policies and security practices, as described in the Advertising section above.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
