EraseMate processes all images entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, or transmit your photos or personal data to any external servers.

EraseMate does not collect, store, or share:
- Photos, images, or any media files from your device
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Browsing history or usage analytics
- Contacts or calendar information
How the App Works
EraseMate uses on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation) to remove backgrounds from images. All processing happens locally on your device:
- Images you select are processed entirely on your device's CPU/GPU
- Processed images are saved to your local device storage or gallery only
- No image data leaves your device at any point
- The app works fully offline – no internet connection is required
Permissions We Request
EraseMate may request the following device permissions, used solely within the app:
- Photo Library / Storage – to let you select images for editing and save results to your gallery.
These permissions are only used for the stated purposes and are never used to collect or transmit data.
Third-Party Libraries
EraseMate uses the following open-source libraries. None of them collect personal data or send information off your device in the context of this app:
- Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation – on-device AI subject segmentation
- image_picker – for selecting images from your device
- share_plus – to share processed images via OS share sheet
- path_provider – to access local file system paths
- permission_handler – to request necessary device permissions
- Google Fonts – fonts loaded locally from the app bundle
Children's Privacy
EraseMate does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app does not require account creation or any form of personal data submission, making it safe for general audiences.
Data Security
Since EraseMate operates entirely offline and on-device, your data never leaves your phone. The security of your data is therefore governed by your device's own operating system protections (iOS App Sandbox / Android App Sandboxing), which are designed to isolate app data.
